Craig here, for your Friday post. Fridays are the day we rotate a different topic that might inspire or help you in some way. Today is my day to come up with a writing prompt.
I don’t claim any particular expertise in these. I know a prompt can be almost anything, a photo, video, a few words, etc.
I decided to challenge all of you with a simple want ad. The game is to come up with a short story involving the prompt. Link to your site in the Story Empire comments, so we can all visit you and check out your cool story. Here is the advertisement:
“Free fill dirt from my basement remodel project. Yours to haul away. Call XXX-XXXX.”
My story will be pretty dark, if I find time to write it. Let us see what you come up with.

Very cool prompt, Craig. I’ve been on vacation so I didn’t have a chance to play but this inspired memories of the old show “Night Gallery.”
And I loved Harmony’s take on it.
